2000 meeting and this was seconded by Mr. David Rodetsky. The committee member
unanimously agreed with this motion.
The Architectural Review Committee members reviewed the 2002 meeting dates.
The committee will meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM at
Town Hall. There will not be a meeting in November and the December meeting
will meet on the 10th, not the 24th. Mrs. Brenda Johnson approved the dates
and Mr. David Rodetsky seconded this motion.
Ms. Suzy Buck will act as secretary for the year 2002 for the Architectural
Review Committee. Mrs. Peggy Joline made a motion to accept and Mr. David
Rodetsky seconded this motion.
Mrs. Lillian Burry was nominated as chairperson and Mr. James Stuart nominated
as vice-chairperson. Mrs. Peggy Joline made a motion to accept and Mrs. Brenda
Johnson seconded the motion.
PLANNING BOARD UPDATE
Mr. James Stuart advised the Planning Board is still debating whether to widen
the road for the Ayers property. Half of the committee feels the road should
be widened 28-30 feet (?) and the other half want the road to remain the same.
There will be about 45-50 more cars on the road when the houses are built.
Mr. Stuart stated the widening of the road is probably going to be the decision.
NEW BUSINESS
Mrs. Lillian Burry showed architectural plans for 8 Victorian Way. The property
is off of Montrose Road and was purchased by Aspen. The plans consist of brick
in the front and vinyl siding in the back and on the sides. The committee
members recommend using cedar impressions instead of vinyl. They also recommend
having the garage on the side of the house.
Mrs. Burry showed architectural plans for 16 Holland Lane. The house is under
reconstruction because it was destroyed by a fire. The fire compromised the
cinder blocks so they have to rebuild the foundation. They will use stone
to build the new foundation. They will use stucco-type siding.
Mrs. Lillian Burry showed architectural plans for 49 Beaver Dam Road. The
plan consists of three additions to the existing house. The additions will
be built with stone veneer. Mrs. Peggy Joline stated, This house has
character. The committee members agreed the plan has interesting architectural
features.
Mrs. Burry showed architectural plans for 17 Colts Gait Lane. The addition
is one-story high with a basement below, which is actually a lower level.
The addition consists of a master bedroom and master bathroom. The addition
and the existing home are two different styles; cape code style and town home
style. Mr. David Rodetsky stated, There is no continuity between the
addition and the existing house. Mr. James Stuart stated, The
plan is incomplete in definition of the basement space. The committee
members recommend a site inspection.
Mrs. Lillian Burry showed site plans for Block 46, Lot 1.15. The plans consist
of a proposed tennis court. Terry and Larry Sorsby are going for a variance.
The committee members feel that because this is a site plan there isnt
anything to review from the Architectural Review Committees perspective.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 PM; Mrs. Peggy Joline moved the motion to
adjourn and this was seconded by Mrs. Brenda Johnson. The committee member
unanimously agreed.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at 5:30 PM at
Town Hall.
